Towing a Burgundy

I tow a bailey Bretagne with a TDCi 130 estate with no problems. I have had my Mondeo on the scales (Zetec) and it was 1576 KG without anybody in it!. I have self levelling suspention so I always get a nice level tow.

The car has loads of pulling power. Hills are no problem, will pull up them in 5th gear!.

Cheers Stephen, do all Mondeos have self levelling suspension? and how heavy is your Bailey? Do you have any burning smell from the clutch when reversing up hill onto a pitch for example?

Not all of them have self levelling as standard. I have a Zetec and it was an option. I think from Ghia upwards it is standard.

My Bailey is 1409 fully loaded. About the same as the burgundy.

No smelly clutch, but...I have a motor mover fitted so tend not to reverse.. ;-)

Hope that helps you, Steve
