Just seen this someone brought a caravan drove all the way from Lincolnshire to Essex and back towing a Carlight caravan
Three people have been fined after been stopped in Newark towing a caravan from Essex to Lincolnshire Deliberately Flouting the new Coronavirus Regulations They did not have any number plates got paperwork from a private seller they did a 300 mile around trip

Hope it was a big fine. Should also make them mop floors in ITU for a shift. That would make them think twice.

Just stupid. Anyone towing a caravan is going to be stopped and having no number plate on the rear is an offence under the RTA and makes being stopped even more likely. If I was going to pick up a caravan at least I would have had a number plate with me. It has hard to believe the stupidity of some people.

Fines in this country are pitifully low. Back in the mid 60’s I was fined for a bit of a street fight. Just a bit of too much adrenaline between motorcycle and scooter “enthusiasts“. £25 by the magistrates. I only earned £4pw even with piecework bonus. I even had to sell the bike to raise the money; no parental sympathy either. So the £60 fines for breaking lockdown are laughable.

One of the pictures I saw appeared to show that there were no extension mirrors either, so surprised that they didn't cop for that as well.........
