Hello jason,

The simple answer is "yes" but the size of caravan depends on exactly which model (year, body design, engine power & size) you have.

A quick check of the database I tend to use suggests that 1.6i Exclusive 5d, is limited to a trailer of about 900Kg Gross weight which is not very much for a caravan.

So whilst technically you can tow a caravan, it may not be of a practical size for you and your family.

Trailer tent may be a better bet. Possibly a folding caravan/camper. I haven't checked out the weights but I think they are generally lighter than a caravan.

Didn't seem to stop a Picasso owner i saw on the M1 pulling a large twin axle

Or even worse, the Golf i saw later the same day pulling a twin axle coachman...the towbar was almost touching the floor!
