Hi, Does anyone happen to know the name of the iPad/iPhone app that gives the towing capacity of a vehicle by entering the registration number ?
 
Try this one, I’ve found it to be pretty accurate. But the best guide is via the vehicles own label.

There is a very real risk that third party sites may not have the correct towing information or weight details for your model of car or caravan. The only real valid information come from your cars or caravan official data plate, and if you were to be accused of a weight related infringement the officials will only use your vehicles data plate information to establish the limits.

Perhaps the OP is in the initial stages of trying to decide what car(s) might be suitable for his/her use. So I see nothing wrong with a wide search, but as I stated in post # 2 the cars data label is the definitive information source.
