Towing compatibility

I am new to Caravanning and looking to purchase a Lunar Solaris 1.

I presently drive a X Trail 2.2 dti Kerbweight 1650 (checked)

would this be a good match?

If not could anyone advise what would be a suitable match given that I would prefer a nearside fixed bed and a low dresser.

If you tow the Lunar to its maximum weight of 1450 kgms you will have a 88% ratio which shouldn't be too bad.To keep to recommended 85% you would have to restrict weight of caravan to 1403kgms.To be quite honest I would go for it.I have towed to 100% with my X Trail

with no adverse problems.You have an excellent tow vehicle.
