Hello everyone. In August we are taking the ferry from Newhaven to Dieppe with our caravan. We are then booked to stay at a site 15 minutes or so outside of Dieppe for the evening. The following day, we will tow from there to Perros Guirec in Brittany as we are staying at Le Ranolien. It is a distance of just over 300 miles. Is this achievable in a day on the French road network? I am prepared for it to be a long day. We would probably leave around 7am from our stop-off site. When we booked, we thought it would be ok, but now I'm a bit concerned that we've bitten off a bit too much in 1 day.

If your route is autoroute and good N roads it’s a doable drive. We used to go 400 miles in France and the roads were far less congested than UK. Lots of service areas and aires with loos to have breaks. Always stopped early for lunch as after 12 areas filled up quickly.

Thanks for the reply. Good to hear that it's doable. I know the French roads generally tend to be better than ours, but never towed a caravan before. Will definitely stop early for lunch, thanks for the advice.

....if you intend to use the A13 motorway on your journey to Brittany you will need to pay the tolls online or certain other pay points or have a French liber-T tag on your towcar.
There are no toll booths at which to make a payment on the motorway.
