Hi Mark,we tow a swift conqueror 650 lux with a isuzu double cab pickup always in 2wd,we've also had mitsi's and towed with 2wd but they've all had manual gearboxes.Iknow somes mitsi's with auto boxes must tow in 4wd as advised in the owners manual, but I think a quik call to a main dealer will sort it out for you,and i'm sure someone else here will know.Good luck,stuart1
Hi Mark, I dont know about your pajero, but my last two shoguns had a warning sticker on the drivers door and in the handbook stating 4wd when towing. I know on the pajero owners website this topic is raised often but the majority tow in 2wd. I do as the book says and use 4wd.
With my Daihatsu Fourtrack I invariabley tow in two wheel drive. In over four years of use I have rarely had to use the four wheel drive whilst towing the caravan.
hi guys thanks for the replys i normaly do tow in 2wd i have
been to camber and oxford for our home in essex 2wd. the other
day while we where away someone said to me that i should tow

compond after a hours trip the fan was working trying to cool the transmission downhence the reason why i asked. i think its a case of sick to the old i think.
i do know that my sister has a 2002 british shogun and there is
a sticker on her door which tells her to use 4wd when towing.
I've got a 3.0l Auto Shogun (Mk2.5), but I've got no handbook, and I've never noticed any stickers. I've towed my Sterling Trekker T/A to Umbria (via the hilly bits in Switzerland) and to the South of France (over the hilly bit in the middle) all in 2wd, haven't noticed any problems....yet!!!!
