Towing mirrors what goes where?

Hi

Just bought pair of towing mirrors, seem quite good. One says its convex and one says it flat. They can be fitted to either side of the car just wondering which mirror goes where?

The convex goes on the driver's side and the flat goes on the passenger side,

Wrong. The convex goes on the passenger side. This is to compensate and improve the otherwise poor field of view as a result of the mirror being much further away from the driver's eyes.

The convex on PASSENGERS side but be careful as the convex lens makes objects look further away than they are.
