Towing mirrors

1 flat, 1 convex. Which side is which? Flat drivers side, or vice versa?

Personally I prefer flat both sides as the perspective is then true, but it has been said that the convex goes on the left as it is further from you.

Yes, a flat mirror on the passenger's side gives you a very small angle of vision in the mirror. This may mean that you don't see everything that you should.
