Towing to Notgrove

The caravan club book says leave M5 when towing to the Notgrove site - is there any reason why I shouldn't take the M69 and A roads to the Cotswolds (towing from Yorkshire) rather than following M42, M5?

Multimap suggests this is a quicker route and the M5 does seem a long way round?

None at all - use M69, A46 to Jct 15 on M40, A429 to Bourton-on-the-Water and then A436.
The M69-A46 route is fine, but be extra carefull where you cross the A45 at Willenhall, and cross the M40; both are roundabouts that are "laned"round them, and easy to get wrong!

Last time I was at Notgrove (not the Van site) I took a train from there to Cheltenham!
