It all depends what you are towing, IE a mini will handle the average trailer for trips to the tip.

If you tell what you wish to tow with kerb weights etc I`m sure someone will advise you.

i believe the kerb weight for a citroen c5 is 1438kg.i was just enquiring as to whether they are good tow cars in general?

Hi I have a Peugeot 406 with this engine and tow a caravan that weighs 1400kg and it tows it fine. On the motorway I can use fifth gear most of the time even on inclines I feel there is always enough power and have towed all over Britian with it with no problems. So your car should be fine.
