Towing with a Frontera

We are considering buying a Frontera but the one we have our eyes on has the tow ball on an extended tube as opposed to bracketed to the car. This, I assume is to clear the rear mounted Spare Wheel ? How would I then fix my Bulldog Stabiliser which normally is a slotted plate fixed to the facing ?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi i tow with a frontera with out the extended tow bar and it is fine I use the bulldog blade stabilizer with no trouble at all.

We have a frontera with a detatchable towbar , which sounds like the tow bar you are refering to. We use a blade stabilizer and have no problem conecting it as they do adapters for the swan kneck bars
