towing without a leisure battery

Hi can anybody tell if its ok to tow without my leisure battery fitted. I know it wont get charged but I charge it before I go. I wont to takr it off for traveling to get the nose wieght down. will the fridge still stay cold ect.

Moth,

It depends on how the 12v wiring is configured, but there should be no problem as long as you isolate the battery leads so that they can't touch each other & cause a short.

You don't need a battery on the van to operate the fridge on 12v whilst towing, that power comes from the car via the 12s (grey capped)socket, but power will only be there whilst the engine is running, its done this way to stop the fridge from flattening the cars battery.
