Townsend park pembridge leominster

Been there twice, great site and large pitches. Do the Black and White Trail, for the houses, Hereford and into the Wye Valley.

Hope this helps

HI Robert. We might be there over may bank hoilday ourselves.

Pembridge is a lovely village with loads of history, also Eardisland is just as picturesque. Both have pubs doing food of high standards.

Within 15 miles of the site you have Ludlow castle, Berrington hall, Croft Castle.

There's the market town of Leominster 6 miles away with all your supermarkets and traditional family high street shops. Plenty of antique shops to browse in. Also there is a Leisure center and swimming pool in town.

Savories restraunt in broad street do some super meals all under

Hi Rob

I agree with the others, stayed there for a week a couple of years age and keep meaning to go back.

Take your BBQ, apart from the great on site shop the area is awash with great food outlets.

Hi Robert

We stayed there in 2006. A lovely clean well look ed after site. However if you wish to use your sat dish for tv make sure you are well away from the trees on the south side.

Th eowners are very friendly and their own produce farm shop is excellent.

Plenty to see in the area and good dining out at the local pubs and restaurants.

Cheers

Alan

Great area to see. If you're there other than bank holiday visit the cheese maker, on the left towards Leominster and Duckerton's Cider. Both excellent. Don't forget that at Hay they have millions of second hand book shops.

Nearest supermarket to site is Morrisons Leominster. There is also an Aldi and Somerfield.

Hi Robert.

Due to a mix up at reception I am not able to pitch at Townsend as they were fully booked at bank holiday weekend and they didn't realise my two week bookin starting Monday spanned that weekend.

So now I'm booked in at Arrow bank just down the road at Eardisland instead.

As we are using our van pemanently and I work from a construction yard at Kingsland, 3 miles away, I will be using Townsend park in due coarse.

Arrow Bank has only grass pitches so I hope the weather stays fine.

During the ambulance dispute in 1989 we were campaigning in High Town at Hereford putting over our case to the public. This gentleman came over and asked me all about the background of the dispute. When I had finished explaining it to him he took out his wallet and gave us a cheque for

Funny you should bring that subject up. As a costruction worker and a first aider of over 35 years I have a high regard for all emergencey services and the work they do to assist people.

Everyday I buy a paper and the change always goes in the Air ambulance collection box on the counter.

My thoughts are that 15p fo loose change a day is a cheap price to pay for a service that does such an excellent job. If everyone did that amulancemen would not have to give up their days off to raise funds so that the helicopters can run next week.
