That's good, and is a much better experience than I had with Go last month - also buying a Cadac.

Go initially sent me an email saying they had no stock, and that they were cancelling my order, my card would not be charged, etc.

I double-checked with them by email. They confirmed that the order was cancelled (and all about their rights to cancel) and that my card would definately not be charged. Fair enough, so I bought one somewhere else.

Then half a Cadac arrived from them! I checked, and they'd charged my card. I spoke with their customer services who refused to refund my money 'until the cadac was returned', but it would be refunded the day it cam back into stock.

I did eventually gt the refund, but I had to chase it (and it was the following week after the Cadac was returned).

So ... My experience of Go mail order was faulty goods, broken promises and taking money on my card in contravention of their express promises. its a shame - I'd been a big fan of their stores but can't see myself going back. I'll go to Towsure instead.

Last year I ordered a Scottle,Dome lid and cover for my Cadac using the web. All items were shown as in stock at the time of my order and I received a confirmatory email. I needed the items for our main holiday that was due just over three weeks from the time of my order. When looking at the companies Delivery Terms and Conditions it advised that you need to allow up to 14 days for delivery. Next day delivery or 48 hour delivery was much more expensive. After 10 working days there was no sign of my order but looking on my credit card account I found that I had been charged the full amount of my order at the time of ordering. I telephoned the company and was told that my order would be received on a particular date which was the expiry of the 14 day term. My order did arrive on that day but the cover was missing as it was out of stock at the time of dispatch, a note said it would be sent when further stocks were received. It finally arrived after we had returned from holiday. When I looked at the dispatch note it showed that my items had been packed and dispatched the day before I received them. Why the need for a 14 day delay?

I would suggest that you all read the Delivery terms and conditions before ordering particularly if you need items in a

hurry and do not want to have your money used for nearly 14 days by the supplier.

Other suppliers can offer a much faster delivery, so shop around.

under distance trading regs if your goods are not delivered on the agreed delivery date ( complete or incomplete) you have the right to cancel with an immediate refund.

If part of the goods have arrived you may have to bear the cost of return delivery then claim it back later.

Many companies fail in their duty to fulfill their obligations under distance trading LAWS. They try to hide behind their own T's and C's or present the legal ones in a way that makes younthink they are doing you a favour.
