My long disused original Tracker , for then a substantial annual fee, sent a signal to their Central Control advising my caravan was on the move. Next they would ring me on my brick sized company mobile😎
Surely that’s how they are supposed to work today or have we moved to a more DIY method🤔
I think you are about right. However, with Phantom. They spell out exactly what they will do for you subscription. It is difficult to compare like for like when the information is not forthcoming from other companies that are selling trackers.

I think I am right in saying that there are a lot of trackers, some Thatcham approved, that have functionality directly via text, and/or an app. But monitoring will be extra by subscription. With Phantom, their hardware is of no use unless tied in to a subscription.

The old original tracker was Tracker Monitor which did all the necessary and allows the police to monitor the caravan movement. They then introduced the cheaper version which is the Tracker Retrieve which is what is fitted into most caravans as it saves a few pennies. Tracker is originally a South African company for obvious reasons.
