I've contributed to HS2 but I doubt I'll ever get a seat with my name on it. Then again I'd never use it anyway.

Frequently I question my Council Tax because the only thing I can determine that we use is Waste Collection and Recycling.

No different to swimming pools, libraries, parks etc. The many support those who do use them. If it was solely pay for use then it would be a pretty miserable society.

Not an option in my case, my physiology is so configured if I am listening to the radio and they flash up a traffic report, I hear it. Others I had thought would be very similarly affected? My wife sometimes has suggested I have selected hearing, but in reality that's not the case. The "selective" bit in my case is my level of attention.

I can of course then switch it off but only after I have heard it and so hoisted in its happening, and importantly if driving its safe to activate the mute button.
I can of course not ever have the car radio on but then that's pretty counter productive.
