Trauma water connector

Hi could añyone advise me what to lubricate my water connector with please it is terribly stiff trying to push it in and j have just cracked the outer case on the caravan trying to get it out, you'd think I was using super glue to hold it, I'm going to crush the pistol grip the way I'm going

I use olive oil regularly. Just a smear on the fitting parts and the o seals

Martp,

It should not be that tight even without a lube, are you sure that the o-rings are of the correct size?

Someone could have replaced the original o-rings with ones that 'fit' but have a greater thickness.

Olive oil is fine, I use 'red rubber grease', it is a grease made from vegetable matter.
