Hi Jo

We've been there once a few years ago. If memory serves me correctly the site is on a slope, look at the cc site plan. Some of the pitches on the upper part of the site seemed a bit small for 6 berth caravans/twin axile vans, although they were on some pitches. We were pitched lower down, not in the bottom field, but the area backing onto the field and the pitches were fine, we were on grass. we needed to level front to back and towing hitch was close to the grass. We were in a row of other 6 berth caravans! wardens at the time were lovely and helpful - we mentioned 1 of the kids was autistic and we were asked if noise was an issue - that's unusual in our experience. Toilets usual cc. It was quite a walk up hill to the toliet block and reception from our pitch. Couldn't fault the site for cleanliness, friendly helpful wardens. We drove to beech at Perranporth, had life guards on. We enjoyed our holiday
Hope this helps
Regards
A
Be careful of sat nav - follow the cc site directions.

A good site, hardstandings are usual CC size and standard, as is the whole site.
Good toilet facilities and very good dog walk.
Follow the site book directions EXACTLY, do NOT rely on sat nav as if you miss the turn to the site entrance you will be on a single track very narrow circular route back.
Mobile phones dont work on the site, you have to go to the top of the hill to get reception.

Perranporth beach not far away and a good beach, Newquay within easy reach with great surfing but very busy.

We were booked in to stay there for 2 weeks but after 10 days gave up as the wind blew and it rained buckets. Not the fault of the site obviously but a very nice site if soe what tucked down a narrow access road. Nice location. very nice pub on the corner as you turn right off the main road to go down teh hill to Perranporth.
Beware very expensive parking on the beach front especially if you only want to go for any hour or so. You cna only pay for a full moring or afternoon or all day. No hourly parking. We used to park in the town and walk down to the beach.
