Treamble Valley CC Site Cornwall

I am a new member to CC and fancy Treamble Valley CC site next summer. Info I have found so far suggests site is sloping and it can be a trek to the showers if you are unlucky with your pitch. Is it so bad or are some peoples view of a bit of a trek a little exagerated. I know the Newquay area quite well but have not come accross this site in the past. Any views of what the site is really like would be most helpful. Many thanks.

Alan,

We have been to this site a couple of times, it is a lovely site the toilet block is basically in the center of the site, on both occassions we have pitched at the bottom of the site mainly because the caravan were sited round the edge of the field and there is a big open space in the middle. Although there is an uphill walk to the toilet block it is not strenuous walk I suppose it depends how old and how able you are. There are hard standings right next to the toilet block.

Hope this is of some help

Thanks Gill for the info. no disrespect to the less able but we are a good few years off the walking frames yet so your description sounds fine.

Hello Alan

We were there last August, the site was full but there are still lots of open spaces so it doesn't "feel" cramped. The wardens were friendly despite being very busy and while we were there the weather was superb which can make you view things through rose spectacles! The site is quite remote and you need the car to do almost everything and if you're going at peak times, the roads around Newquay and Perranporth were very busy, but overall I would recommend it, its well positioned to see most of Cornwall too. We have two kids and we had a great time.

treamble valley is a pretty site and i think a little trek to the toilets never hurt any one. i haven't stayed on this site as we always use the c&cc site at tregurrian see previous post, however due to being new cc members we decided to visit godrevy park near hayle last year as well as treggurian and found this site to be quite nice walking distance to a nice beach and some nice walks in the area. it is always a bonus if you dont have to use your car all the time. newquay is still a favourite but i would visit godrevy again. good luck.
