Visiting this site mid August and travelling on a Sunday, hoping to arrive late morning.Reading the CC handbook it mentions an early arrivals area, is this correct? Would appreciate any other comments on this site i.e pitching density etc.

Thanks.

Craig,

Went to this site a couple of years ago, the site is situated on a hill, hard stands are quite close to shower block, we stayed right down the bottom, caravans pitched around the edge of the field with a massive space in the middle. Lovely site

Craig, we have only recently returned from Treamble, and it is a brilliant site.As you enter the site, the early arrivals area is on your left, a wide grassy area just before the reception office. Pitches are large, well spaced and the whole site is immaculate, as are the facilities. As it is in a valley there is no TV reception via a normal status or pole aerial, but they have aerial sockets on the electric distribution posts, also your mobile phone will not work on site, again, no signal, but will work at the top of the hill as you enter, which is why you will see cars parked and people on the phone as you enter or leave !!!!! The entrance to the site is a little difficult to find, if you have not been there before, traveling from Newquay to Perranporthon the A30 you need to take the Rejerrah road which is on your right as you ascend a quite steep hill. This road is very narrow, so care must be taken, follow this road until you come to a place where the road splits, one part to the left, one straight on, in the hedge in front of you is a sign, has something on a board above the caravan cl site board, and the words UP THE HILL in red , under the sign. Follow the directions up the hill, follow the road as it turns right near the top of the hill, go straight on and the site is directly in front of you as you come to a very sharp left hand bend.If you miss the entrance road, as we did, you end up on a single track road which is only just wide enough for the car and van, and take you in a circle. Hope this helps.

Visited site July last year.Usual CC standards, only one loo block which can be quite a hike if you are at the bottom of the site.Fully agree with posting from Damian.Site was busy when we arrived and we ended up with a pitch at the bottom of the site in a small paddock ( for want of a better description). From what I saw a lot of the pitches needed levelling blocks, some vans were 'perched' quite high. Not many hard standings and due to the bad weather and the incline of the site the grass fields were getting rather cut up.Not that it was a bad site, it was a long way for us to travel so I dont think we will go again.
