As well as previous posting re Treamble Valley we are also considering the C&CC site at Tregurrian, has anyone got any info relating to this site please. Thank you. The things we do while waiting for Santa to arrive.
NIce site, only a few mins from a nice bay with good surf. The main site is fairly flat. There is an overflow site, where a few of the pitches are sloping. We were lucky enough to be on the main site.
It is near all the tourist stuff, but not so near the coast that it is continually windswept. However, if the wind gets up you will certainly feel it. There are outdoor showers for wetsuits (and of course indoor ones!)
tregurrian c&cc site is one of our favourite sites. we have been staying on this site for the past 12 years every august since our boys were 12 and 14 years old. even now we still like to visit the site and area on our own as the boys have out grown us. the location is stunning. the site is as said by mike split into two area both sites are level.. with their own toilet facillities. the smaller area being without electrics but having views towards newquay there are sea views from both sites but not from all the pitches. you can walk to the beach which adds to the attraction it is steep but not a problem. about 1/2 of a mile if that. close enough to newquay but also far enough to be nice and quiet. there are surf boards and body board to hire from the beach you can also have surfing lessons.
if the weather is nice you wont find a better beach but newquay has a lot of beaches all around if the weather is not so good there are plenty of other things in and around the area. if you decide to go to this site book very early as it is always full. while we were staying at tregurrian i went to have a look at treamble valley. it is a nice site on a slope but the pitches were terraced and level a pretty site edged with woods. but you need your car to get to the beach. and in august it does get busy. good luck
