Trip to Madrid

Having toured a lot in France. ie campsite in every village we are this year considering the Madrid area of Spain. (not that there is a Madrid area of anywhere else in Europe)

I am told that campsites from France to the madrid area are few and far between. My question is Has anyone done this trip. Can you recommend a site near Madrid and overnights on route.

Thinking of going mid August. All help very much appreciated

Hi David having done the trip a few times on our Goldwing and in our caravan the N1/Eo5 from Burgos to Madrid ,when you get 60k north of Madrid ,there are road signs for Camping,and the last

one we visited was, www.monteholiday.com Most sites are seasonal, with lots

of Spanish from Midrid on weekends ,and the temp at night is

cooler,but scenery is to die for.
