Hi GaryandDebs,
With an older caravan it's often a case of having to do a lot of "detective work" to find out the information you need.

From the link that WoodlandsCamper provided you will see that the thread although old continues to thrive and there are current posts with the last one only a month or two ago.

It's possible (but unlikely) that someone who has has all the owners manuals and information that you require will see your post and send them on to you...... so it's on with the deerstalker hat, and with magnifying glass in hand you can emulate the famous Mr Sherlock Holmes!.

Here is a suggested strategy for your plan of attack.....

1 If you use, on the Internet, your favourite search engine, you can make a list of all items that include the search string you require ( you could just start with "Trophy 450 5GL" and then follow up all the "hits"

2 Some of the hits will be for adverts and these often have a phone number or email address.... a polite enquiry will sometimes strike gold and you will be able to find out some information, but don't expect the lot! ( you would have to be very lucky to get that from just one source.

3 All this information forms part of the "jigsaw" of information that you want to complete. As long as you are respectful of folks' time and polite in your requests, it's surprising the amount of information you may be able to find out .
(Caravanners are generally a friendly and approachable bunch of people and if asked nicely will often go out of their way to try and be as helpful as possible) Often if they don't have the answer you need they may well know someone who does and can point you in the right direction.

4 It would be worthwhile following up each of the "clues" in the link that WoodlandsCamper provided (there were quite a lot of them) and quite often one clue will lead to another tiny piece of the jigsaw and indicate the direction you need to pursue further. You may find different descriptions of the caravan so maybe you could try amending the search string a little and see if that helps.

5 It's important not to get discouraged if you don't get the information you need immediately... the name of the game is "Perseverence" so you may need to continue to follow up all the clues for quite a while before you succeed.

6 It will all take quite a bit of work so you need to prepare for it..... you could make a list of all the information your need to know, so you get the idea here's just a few items that you might like to know about your new caravan.

Mass in Running Order ( MRO)
Max Aurthorised Weight ( MAW)
Wheel rim, Tyre size and pressure
Wheel bolt torque
Max permitted Nose load
Caravan Authorised Payload (Cap)
Chassis type and hitch
Awning length
Wiring diagrams
switches and electrical systems
heating. cooking and other appliances
toilet/washing facilities
butane/propane arrangements

7 The above list is not intended to be exhaustive but merely illustrative to give you an idea of the sort of things that folks usually want to have details on. The external and internal dimensions, bed lengths and the like can best be found with your tape measure, but can provide a useful check on the published information.

It would have been wonderful if I could have had at my fingertips all the information you need but alas I don't... but hopefull the above will give you a reasonable steer on how you might find out more.
Finally here are two links(including the one provided by WoodlandsCamper) that are worth following up.

http://www.caravantalk.co.uk/caravan-specifications/trophy/gl-450-1991_9422
Finally, never forget the valuable knowledge and experience that caravan technicians and engineers have. If you decide to ask a qualified mobile caravan technician or engineer to carry a service on your van ( often a wise investment) It will include some important safety information that is beyond price)
If you ask them nicely they may be prepared to spend a little time with you explaining the caravan's systems ( However please bear in mind that their prime job is concerned with the service and any advice offered to you outside the terms of the service is by way of a bonus!

Regards and Happy Caravanning

We did have a Trophy over years ago but passed on the handbook when we sold it not that they were a lot of use in those days. Not sure what you need to know but if you have any problems I will see if my memory works well enough to help.
The Trophy was a spectacularly lightweight caravan using an aluminium chassis. You do need to remember that this reacts with steel so anything steel fitted to the chassis needs a protective filler between them.
