truma blown air heater

I notice the comment about a "fad" of fitting awning heater outlets with a Truma hot air heater.
IT IS NOT A FAD!! We fitted the ducting kit to our Hymer 470 when we bought the van brand new in 2003 and it has always worked excellently since we bought it.. It makes Spring Autumn and Winter caravanning with an awning a comfortable experience without resorting to fan heaters or similar. Granted it may be that it helps that the heater unit is immediately inboard of the ducting but it is a fact is that it works.....We always start the system on gas for a quick start up but then just use the electric operation which is more than adequate.....

Phiĺip the posting prior to your was over 9 years ago , so maybe it was a "Fad" then.

Welcome to the forum.
I would be hard pressed to think of any mainstream British caravan in your size range that didn’t have ducted heating in 2003. But continental caravans tend to represent the needs of their European users. Even now there can be substantial differences in equipment, especially in the kitchen area, or front bedrooms; unless the caravan is being made for the U.K. market.
