Hi all I have a Swift Esprit M4EB which i have not used as yet will be out next week end and have seen this massage on the Truma CP plus control panel W255 H for which the book is saying (1) Heater has no 12 V power supply / Ensure that the 12V power supply is available (2) No connection between heater and control panel / Make connection between heater and control panel (3) Control panel cable faulty / Please contact the Truma Service.

How and where do I look to make sure that all the wire etc are plugged in and the connection between heater and control panel or is this just because the power is off at the Control Panel ??
any help please

Hello Quick
Sounds like you have lost the 12 volt supply lead ( they do fall off )
gently prise off the black surround to the CP control unit, then undo the screws to release the
CP unit from the surround. Look carefully for a red lead with a white (small plug) and reconnect
to the panel, at the bottom where two prongs will show that accept the plug.
I had this problem, but it took a long, long time to find out how to fix it !
best of luck

Re the control panel we had an issue last year with ours. Trace the data cable from the boiler pcb back towards the co trol panel. You will find the data cable is actually two pieces joined by a cheap telecom type adaptor. Make sure this connection is good. Ours was in a large floor cupboard that wifey had stuffed with pillows for transit and had caught the joint. Calls to Swift, dealer and truma couldnt give an answer. Two engineer visits and pcb and cp both changed. He then assumed the data cable at fault and ordered one. On its arrival we saw it would not be long enough and the penny dropped.
At initial contact the first thing i asked was if there was a joint in the cable. All four agencies said no. Took three weeks for a three second fix.

I have just got back from the van. I did as my dealer told me to that is to pull off the nob on the control panel then undo the screw and out popped the control panel. I then pull of the two data cables and the one power cable then put it all back and tested it it was the same as it was be for no good.

I then went though the menu and found reset under the spanner symbol so reset it still not right I have now lost all of the symbol on the screen apart from the clock and the spanner.

So I pull off the nob on the control panel then undo the screw and out popped the control panel pull of the two data cables and the one power cable then put it all back. switched it back on and all working now with on errors and no warnings so looks like all is ok.

Will be trying it all out next week end so will try and find this post after the week end and let you all know how i got on

Thank for all you help and have a good long week end Mark

Just come back from our first trip with the new caravan and all's good the heating worked ok and had lots of hot water so the fix worked.

The only thing was we went out for a walk and on our return there was a beeping coming from in side the caravan ???

after a look around !! I found where it was coming from the fridges as the door was not full close so that was put to bed in no time.

all was good caravan was good and the new awning went up like a dream and came down just as quick at the end of our week end just have it out on the drive to dry out now then it can go away for the three weeks till we are off again for more fun hopeful in the sun.
worst thing of the weekend was some one playing football all day by our caravan ok for some time but all day was to much go and play over in the play part of the site
