Truma fire control knob missing, where can i find a replacement please, tried numerous breakers but cant seem to get one

Hello Judith,

I have gone back through my own old service information about Truma products but I can't find any knob that looks like that. I don't think that model or option was ever sold in the UK.

Please can you confirm the model of heater, and how old it is? what make of caravan do you have?

It's the knob fitted to Truma Ultraheat blown air systems - our 2001 Bailey Pageant had one.

Try Gary at https://www.arcsystems.biz/ as he may know how to source one.

Wow eye watering price!

Welcome to the crazy world of caravan spares prices.

By the way - why do you think you need a replacement? I have a new one in my parts box which I bought umpteen years ago, thinking I needed it. I didn't - the fault lie elsewhere.

Perhaps Judith would like to purchase it?

Actually I note the original post said the knob was missing which poses questions as to the circumstances regarding its removal - so maybe a full service of the heater would be advised to ensure electrical and gas safety before bringing it back into use.

Judith,
Maybe it will be better to buy a complete used heater. The knob is more than just a knob. It does a number of functions which may explain the high price!

Interesting.
This ebayer is borderline illegal. In his posting he is keen to stress he is "registered as a Private Seller" and thus EU consumer rights legislation does not apply. Right and wrong!

Firstly there is no "register of private sellers". so how can he be registered as such?

Secondly his address is in Kent, which means he is in the UK not the EU, so EU regs wont apply, but I suspect the UK's CRA does apply, becasue he is touting for multiple customers for a service he is providing using eBay, and that amounts to running a retail business which is definitely subject to the CRA.

But he is also possibly acting illegally, by offering to repair gas appliance's, which does require any business offering the service to have the required proven and registered competencies to undertake the work. This is illegal under the GSI&UR and health and safety legislation.

You should avoid this listing.
