Truma Heater Breather Line fault??

Getting ready today for first outing in recently bought 2007 Adria Adora 532UP SE.

When I connected the water supply everything seemed OK - water began flowing within 15 seconds of opening kitchen tap, however I noticed the pump was still running after a few minutes then realised that water was running under the caravan - this was traced to the heater drain valve being left open, valve was closed and aqua roll (now emty) was refilled and connected - similar problem was experienced ie water running under caravan - this time traced to the heater outlet valve breather line.

Water would not stop despite pump being switched off and on a few times - any advice welcome - going away this weekend.

Previous owner says no previous problem - just plugged in and water on demand

System is a pressure switch, not micro switched

Thanks

Brian

Brian, if you mean the red connection to the top of the water heater, that is a pressure relief valve which has failed.
Just need to get a new one and replace it.
Simple enough, should take no more than a couple of minutes.

come, come now Damian, a bit of duff info there. the red valve is not a pressure relief valve but an air bleed valve to aid draining. The pressure relief valve is the drain valve.

The red elbow fitting is an over pressure relief valve. It has a non return valve which aids draining, but in an over pressure situation the valve gets blown out down the clear tube.
The drain is either open or closed,it will not go to the open position unless the owner puts the lever there.

Bought new valve for £6.50 - should have taken minutes to fit but position of heater under bed meant I had to remove the bed base - now working perfectly, thanks for the advice
