Truma Heater

Hi just wonder if you can help, Last winter we had more snow while on site we turn up the elec heater in the van and was nice and warm but did find that at night time when temperature drop outside at night, it was a bit cool inside the van then we waited and the heater came back on,
Now this is what I want to know can we use the gas fire on low as well as the same time we got the elec fire on as well, if Thank you for your time. Trevor123

I quote from my Truma Ultraheat booklet for a S3002 heater
"Heater operation is basically possible with gas only, electricity only or simultaneously with gas and electricity.
When using simultaneously the electrical unit will switch itself off before overheating occurs as a result of the stronger gas burner."

Hope this helps.

Hello Trevor,

The heater is rated and designed so you can use both gas and electric heating at the same time. There is no safety issue, as the system will automatically shut down the electrics if there is any danger of it over heating, and the gas system is thermostatically controlled also.

Thank you all for your reply will try it out over Xmas, but will see if we can get a little elec fan 800w on saturday
Thanks Happy Xmas Trevor123
