Truma Motor Mover M1

Further to my post of yesterday, I also need to change the rollers. To remove the rollers I thought I just remove the two bolts on the chamber end and pull the roller off the shaft. Unfortunately the rollers wont shift. Is there a special tool needed to remove them?

Any help would be appreciated.

The other end of the roller just slides onto a shaft and the power is transmitted by a large roll pin. The snag is that they will be rusted onto the shaft. You may be able to lever them away with a large screwdriver but you may have to remove the motors to sort them out. I fitted steel rollers from Rhyno but there is acompany in the NE who manufacture their own for the Carver/Truma. Seen on e-Bay but none on at the mo.

I packed mine with grease to prevent this.

Hope this helps.

I should have read your first posting before replying. I dismantled our Mk2 Carver and repainted with Hammerite. You should be able to straighten the parts if bent and lubricate all the moving parts.

Thanks SBS

Will try to remove the roller again, initially, I was a little reluctant to force it. Considered seperating the parts to remove the bent arm but was worried about replacing the spring, looking at it further all the parts should split easily and reinstatement shouln't be a problem. Or is there anything I should consider?
