We are new to caravanning and I am disabled, we are therefore intending to have a motor mover fitted to our Compass Rallye 524. We visited the Caravan show in Hull this year and visited the stands that where showing there motor movers, I was quite impressed with all the movers, however the Truma had a large drive wheel which was cogged like, and the others had a small drive wheel diameter which was covered in what looked like very course emery paper.

Has any body any information, bad or good on the Truma Motor mover, as I cant find any in the web. Can any body give any recommendations as to which is the best and gives the best ground clearance.

Thanks john

Hi John Google Truma and go to movers

You are here > Products > Caravan Movers > New Generation Mover TE

New Generation Mover TE

Unique for double-axle caravans - convenient manoeuvring with pin point accuracy at the push of a button.

For all double-axle caravans and trailers weighing up to 2,250 kg. Equipped with 'Smooth Start' drive and electric swivelling mechanism for additional convenience.

Drive rollers are swivelled in and out electrically at the push of a button

Light aluminium rollers protect the tyres

'Smooth Start' drive for jerk-free starting and stopping

Weighs just 33 kg - up to 50 % lighter than comparable manoeuvring systems

Safe, convenient handling using an ergonomically designed radio remote control

The new controller transmits and receives at 868 MHz, providing an extremely stable radio connection

Reliable hold on slopes (25 % with 1,200 kg)

When driving around corners the outer motor runs continuously and the inner motor pulsates, reducing tyre wear

No low-lying parts - provides the best possible ground clearance

The motors are positioned immediately before or behind the axle

All Mover components are protected against water spray and corrosion

A powerful drive allows the caravan to be reliably manoeuvred, even on difficult terrain

Simple 12 V electrical installation

Shorter rollers prevent the need for side apron adjustments

Remote control action

Even more safety:

A 13-pin safety socket that is included in the scope of delivery prevents the Mover TE from being unintentionally engaged, for example while driving

General operating permit (ABE) means that no TUV acceptance is required!

Convenient installation:

The Mover TE is suitable for almost any double-axle chassis and is easy to fit - without drilling or welding the chassis. The ABE provides you with 100% safety.

The original accessories from Truma include individual installation kits for the different chassis types.

Before you spend your money, find out how to get service/repair on the unit. With my Powrtouch the Company send an engineer to your home/site and install, remove, replace or repair for a five-year guarantee period (powrwheel.co.uk). Other manufacturers say you have to return to the selling dealers workshop for service. Powrwheel also has metal rollers.

John; I always feel that it's the quality of service and ongoing support that is equally as important as the product itself. In my case, it was a 'toss-up' between the PowerTouch and the Reich as they are both excellent products. I chose the Reich because I like what I read and I also liked the fact that I have a first rate supplier who was willing to come to my home (near Tunbridge Wells) and install it (4 hours +) and all for
