Truma Mover - not working

Anyone know if its likely to have a fuse or relay that might need checking. All batteries ok. There is a twin plug arrangement by the reciever not connected, it has a green and a white cable to it, any thoughts please?

No, Its not a new one and it has been working ok. Last time i used it was probably 2 months ago, only use it to align 'van up on my drive as it can be a little awkward at times. I'm charging the 'van battery at the moment to see if thats the problem first, it was a little low. One thing I have noticed is that the reset button on the top of the unit, not sure what its supposed to look like. There is a hole, very small one but no sign of a button?. I'll keep you posted.

Hi

My initial reaction would be that the battery's dead.

Apparently, Truma don't fit isolation switches on their movers. I didn't know this till I read something about these switches on this forum.

They don't fit them because they say they're not needed as the mover does not drain the battery when not in use....

So why does my dealer suggest that I have one fitted anyway!!??

I can confirm that charging the battery remedied the problem with the mover, quite suprised that was enough to completely halt the rollers, even off the wheels! Just 24 hrs on trickle charge did it. The mover was on the 'van when we bought it and I was told that the Truma does cause a drain, even when not in use. For this reason, it was suggested that hook up or battery disconect is the only option?

Mmmm, Site has a problem now?........only submitted once!

I'd love to know why any mover would require an isolation switch? what's it going to do? start up on it's own, engage the rollers and drive your van off! lol

The Carver/Truma controls have isolation relays as do the others that I've repaired? further, they automatically switch those relays off after seconds without use!

For my part, I've put the van away in winter three times now with three different Carver mover controls fitted to my van and fetched it out again in spring with no problems of flat batteries?

Try ringing truma i did with my last van and they sent me out the manual, and the tecnical dept told me what to do over the phone great service truma

kev.

Gary

As i understand it some movers can be inadvertently activated by outside signals, my system is radio controlled. So a battery could in theory be discharged.

Besides any electrical circuit should have a means of isolation, as a matter of good practise.
