Truma ultraflow conversion non return valve?

Hi folks,

We have a 1998 compass kensington, and recently suffered problems with a bad pump connection at the crystal inlet.
This morning i have replaced the inlet using the Truma ultraflow conversion, which has now resolved my pump connection issue, but reading the instructions it mentions fitting a non return valve.
This has me a little puzzled to be honest. I've only changed the inlet 🙂 Could someone tell me why they are needed and where it needs to be fitted?
After fitting the new inlet, I gave it a quick test, and all is working. The only thing I did notice is that when I drained the system, it seemed to be holding a fair amount of pressure and can't remember it being like this before.

Any help / advise would be very much appreciated

Hi, when I change my Carver inlet with an Ultraflow Conversion kit a few years ago I had to buy a seperate non return valve and fitted it inside the van close to the back of the new unit, but I understand that the later conversion kits have a built in non return valve? I may be wrong on that point. A well worth while conversion as my old housing was cracked.

here is they reply I received, it may help someone else out....

There is a non- return valve incorporated into the Ultraflow housing so you should not need to fit an additional non-return valve into the water system.
