Truma Ultraflow

The pump had been playing up. Occasionally I had to go outside and lift the pipe. This set the pump off. I said I would look at it. Then I am in the shower with shampoo in the hair and the water stopped. Wife still in bed!!!!! She did go out and push the pipe up. For her shower I stood outside and held it in place. Upon investigation I found the pistol part had cracked just below the terminals. Managed to find a replacement part (£13.99!!!!!!!) and so attempted to fit it. After much jiggling the top came off and then I found the "jubilee clip" wasn't such but a metal ring. I got it off and found I couldn't fit the new one. So used a jubilee clip, and guess what? It leaked. Anyhow connected up and still no pump. I looked at the fuse board and couldn't see pump anywhere. I couldn't find an inline fuse having stripped the van. When I wasn't looking the wife looked at the fuse box and found pump! It certainly wasn't there when I looked. Replaced trhe fuse and we had water.
Questions: how do you fit the special ring?
Why do the wives always find things we can't?

Is it like the clip shown in the photo below ?

Hi Waffler,
We had exactly the same problem,I fitted a jubilee clip, but you need to find one with a narrow band, I think mine came in a multipack from Aldi, the space inside the 'pistol 'is tight and you need to make sure the screw and thread do not foul on the casing otherwise you will not be able to tighten it enough to get a leakproof seal. Other thing to watch out for with this system is the O ring seal, if it is not watertight we lose pressure in the system. I gave up trying to answer the second part of your question years ago, Should have gone to Specsavers.............

That's quick Sprocket, you should get out more. Yes it is- I suspect a special tool

A pair of water pump pliers should do it ok, when compressed the barb hooks into the hole .....
Don't know how much room you have inside but would one of these O clip's do, a pair of pincers is all that is needed to close them ?

had the same probs but got rid of the clipring and used a small jubilee clip and all has been ok it looks like the ring is on shot ?the top off triger has 2 triangels and squeeze these in and the top pops upeasy.
