Hello all
I've got a 2011 Elddis van -and am having an issue with the Truma heating when on 240v.
What I know....
500w works
1000w works
2000w works
Fan does what it should
What happens....!
On the control knob, I can select each of the 3 power settings. Problem. They all work. However, the outside dial (the temperature) - sometimes it works perfectly (as you'd expect - as you turn it down, the fire clicks and the heat stops....). Frequently though, this does now happen. You can turn it right down and the fire does not click off. Same on all power settings. It can be 25 degrees in here (I've got a thermometer!) - and you can turn the dial down to 1 and it still don't click off. There is no pattern,
It has just done it. I turned off the power for a bit, emptied the toilet, came back and it is now working as expected.
It is not that the control switch/thermostat is in the wrong location - it's on a wall next to where I'm sitting and not in a cupboard or behind a TV/kettle etc.
Question is, does it sound like I need a new control switch/thermostat? Does the control switch actually monitor the temperature of the room or is something else involved that is built into the fire.
Thanks all in advance!
Si
