Andrew,

The wall switch controls which heating source you want to use, and has either Gas or Electric.

If you select Gas, it automatically starts the ignition proces and will fire up the Ultarstore providing you have removed the cowl cover from outside first, if not, it wil go to fail and not light.

Selecting Electric, you then have a master switch on the main control unit. You should find a series of 12v fuses, and some rocker switches, one of which will be the Water heater.

It is essential to ensure the mains switch is in the OFF position for the water heater until the tank is full of water, or you will damage the heating element.

It is always best to not connect the 240v to the van until after you have filled the water system to avoid problems.

Hi Damian,

This may seem a daft question but do you have an avante as mine is the Elusion ltd edition, if you can email me you email address i will forward you a picture of my control panel so you can see what controls i have got. The problem being none of the fused switches are marked as to what they are for.

Hi Andrew,

Unfortunately I do not have an Elddis, and I know how annoying not having the switches marked can be!!

What I would do is check the battery voltage before any power is applied to the van, then fill the water system, then pick one of the fused switches and switch it on. then wait about 30 mins and see if the water is heating, meanwhile recheck the battery voltage to see if the switch you have just put on is in fact the battery charger, you should have over 13 volts at the battery terminals.

Do the same with each switch until you have identified which is which, and mark thrm with a dymo label.

Alternatively, give Elddis customer service a ring.

Sending me a pic would not help much I am afraid.
