Truma Ultrastore water heater

We use the Truma ultrastore water heater in the caravan on mains electric but the thermostat doesn't seem to be working. The water heats up very hot even when the water temperature is set at 30 degrees. Usually just leave it on for about half and hour. Any ideas, new thermostat?

Mine doesn’t have an adjustable thermostat. Why would you want “hot” water with a temperature as low as 30 deg C?

The Trumastore does have a mains thermostat which limits its temperature to a maximum of about 70C. Its not adjustable.

And the thermostat that reads 30 deg controls the van space heater. .

Same her Prof our water has got no stat but the heating inside has which goes up to 30 degrees , I think he may be getting confused !

On electric it just has a switch, on or off. On gas it has a rotary dial with a temp selection.

They are usually next to each other, so you could be forgiven for thinking the rotary dial controls both.
