Truma water connection.

Does anyone have any idea what this little lever / trigger is for on the hose connection. I’ve never used it as I’ve never had a reason to as the hose is just a push fit.
I only noticed it when replacing both seals.

It's there so if you take the aquaroll away to refill it you can loop the bottom end of tge pump supply hose over it so the pump doesn't drag on the ground!

Brilliant and thank you. Those clever Truma people think of everything! Shame they didn't fit better quality 'O' rings as I lost both of mine at the same time and had to wrap tape around the end to create a decent seal. Still a cheap fix at £2 and another pair on order as spares to carry.

Before setting out on a trip I would lubricate the O rings and housing with a light smear of Black Swan Silicone grease ( not the Plumbers Grease) which I usually carried in the tool bag. It’s suitable for potable systems. Some use a dab of sunflower or olive oil.

Thanks. We were staying at Poston Mill about 10 miles from Hereford and despite my temporary fix the cold tap was still spluttering as the pump was sucking in air so I decided to make the 20 mile round trip to Halfords in H’ford. Of course they didn’t have much of a selection and the wrong sizes too. The motor factors place next door couldn’t help either so eBay to the rescue. New ones fitted and I used some silicone spray to lube the grooves and seals before fitting. I’ll also lube the housing prior to fitting.
