Truma water heater

Hi All

I have a Sterling 520 2006 and am experiencing some problems with my water heater it appears to be working with the gas just fine bust the instance that I switch on the electrics it blows all the power. any ideas anyone.

i bryan, i had the same trouble with my firestar when 3 years old, both swift and truma said it was not covered under guarantee. I probably had around 20 uses from the element before it was replaced.
 
I believe that until quite recently th eGuarantee on Truma equipment was 2 years.

Certainly if you purchase any item to fit after the van has been built, it is still 2 years, as is Dometic.

Elements are subject to proper use, and most instances of failure is owner induced by switching on the heater before the system is full.

Misuse is not covered.
