Trying to find a Book!

I am trying to locate a reading book but the reader of it cannot remember anything more than the following:

It is a true story about a Norwegian spy in the first (? second) world war. When the Germans invaded he escaped to Iceland where he was aided by Eskiomos who kept him alive and hidden.

Does anyone recall reading this and does anyone know the title or where I can obtain a copy.

Sorry it so cryptic, but I am trying to locate it as a gift! Thanks for your help.

Ann, theres a local lady, Ellie Targett, a radio presenter, whose father was a Norwegian spy for the Allies. There is a book on his exploits but I'm not sure if this is the person you mean because I've never heard her mention eskimo's. See the link below ....
