Tryon Band allen key?

Does anyone know what the allen key for Tyron bands is? - I mean, is a special one, or just a normal hex key?

Also - are these bands dependent on wheel width? - there's some for sale that just say 'for 14" wheels' - does that mean all 14 inch wheels, or are there variations?

These particular ones have plastic 'knobbly bits' on them - presumably to keep the steel band from touching an alloy wheel? If they are for alloys, could the also be used on steel wheels?

Thanks.

the allen key has an extended end to reach into the wheel well and also has a ball end so that it doesn't have to be lined up exactly in the socket.

Dunno about the knobbly bits though, probably the same bands for both steel or alloy

Thanks for quick answer Dave (the auction is drawing to a close ;) Do you think it would be possible to make up a suitable key? - or, alternatively, would Tyron sell spare keys (presumably they would?)

Any good camping shop or tyre fitters who sell and fit Tyron bands sell a Tyron kit which includes the allen key and spare "knobbly bits". The kit is designed for refitting the Tyrons to other wheels or new wheels.

At the risk of sounding stupid is there any obvious way I can see if the Tyron bands that should have been refitted to my new tyres were actually put back on, other than taking the wheel or tyre off?

Don't think there is
