Have just spent a brilliant week in the forest, weather was terrible, bar one or two days, but the craic was mighty, especially for the kids on Saturday evening.

The trick or treating was brilliant, and the kids were running about till all hours, in a safe and secure enviroment.

We packed up around 13.30 hrs on Sunday, and on leaving, witnessed an influx of "commercial vehicles",all advertising driveway repairs, pvc, gutter cleaning etc, with mostly Hobby vans in tow.

The place should look well next year with all the repairs that must be taking place, judging by the number of workers on site.

I was going to book in again for Nov, Dec weekend trips, but think I may give it a miss.

I take it they are not going as paying guests, as surely the park has a policy of no commercial vehicles??

We used to go to Tollymore quite a lot but have only been once this year, choosing instead to spread our wings a bit and try other sites. Found some cracking ones too.

Last time we were in Tollymore, there was the same problem, Hobbys hooked up to their extra large gas cannisters, whirley bird outside, commercial vehicles beside them, obviously there for the long haul. Having said that, there was no bother from the occupants. It did put us off a bit though. And then with that story a few months ago with a man being stabbed in the park .....

And it was alledged that a certain blood soaked gent flagged down a passing car to make good his escape, but to his dismay, it was an unmarked police car !!!

At least he does not have to worry about site fees etc, in his current accomidation.
