twin axle caravan with island bed

Q. Approximately what year did the above become available.My cousin is considering one, although there are only himself and his wife they have two German Shepard dogs, also at over 70 he had difficulty fitting an awning on his last caravan,towing vehicle is a 4x4 Shogun

Probably over 30 years ago as our third caravan in 2004 was a twin axle Lunar with island bed so they have probably been going a lot longer?

I've suggested he gets the caravan the size and type he wants,if it's a fixed bed then it can be converted and adapted to an island bed, mattress as required from various retail outlets
