Two hours from Poole

Hi Lyn. You do not state whether the two hours is towing or solo. If solo try Widend Touring sit at Marldon near Paignton where there are seasonal pitches available and dog walks. Phone Julie on (01803) 550116. Obviously for taking the van down there you will need more than two hours. We can do it without speeding from Bridgend with the van in tow in 3 hours. Very good roads after M5 at Exeter, with possible hold ups on Newton Abbot to Torquay road. Alternative route is via Newton Abbot and Totness (not such a good road if towing).

Good luck in your quest.

Hi Lyn

The Shrubbery at Rousden (Lyme Regis) is ok, as are the other sites along the coast road towards Exeter. Widend (Torquay) is ok but watch were they put you as the site is tiered and some of the pitches are very prone to flooding. Binghams Farn at Bridport is a super site but is for 'Growns Ups' only and a little on the expensive side. All of these sites will store your van for you and bring it out again before you arrive.
