Hi all
Invested in 2 new tyres today, the others were on from new, 2008 tyres on 2009 van. Now because we keep the van at home tightly parked next to house I cannot get to remove the wheels in the winter lay up I am thinking of buying some covers for the wheel/tyres, can anybody advise if there is a good product out there I should buy or use something homemade (plastic sheeting etc)?
Secondly I have those yellow arrow markers on my wheel nuts, a couple got brittle and broke today, where do you get them from?
Many thanks
Ian

If you van is that close to the house it seems unlikely that the tyre on that side will be exposed to much direct sunlight particularly in winter in the UK. As for the other anything to keep off the UV will do - binliners may be a bit thin but some moderately thick black plastic sheet shoudl be fine.
I am not 100% convinced about the need to cover ( but will doubtless be corrected). Think how many vehicles stand out all year in all weathers and don't come to much harm (particulalry if you change the caravan tyres every 5 years anyway). Now in hot sunny climates it may be a different matter, but during many years in Spain I have never seen wheel covers on anything other than northern European ( and usually Brit) vehicles.

I would be more concerned about checking the pressures and rotating the wheels occaisionally.

Sorry forgot your second point. I think you will find Millenco now market such markers but I'm sure there are other sources.
