Ty Mawr North Wales

Hi has anybody been Ty Mawr before, I belive its a Park Resort. We are thinking about going for easter with 2 of our childred 13, 11.

Thanks Pauline

Yes we have stayed on this site run by park resorts. Unfortunately, the toilet blocks leave a lot to be desired. They are porta cabins and not very clean. We went on the other side of the site (wwhere the seasonals are) to have a shower, much better but not new ones. The field ok if you don,t mind being close together. My guess would be at Easter it will be very busy and expensive. There is a swimming pool thats ok, and enteratinment for an evening. We wouldn,t go back there even if there was a special offer on, but some people like it because its always packed during the summer etc. Sorry if i,ve put you off, its just my opinion on the site. Good for the kids though plenty to keep them occupied.

agree with Erica, bit roudy for me & I also have kids 18 & 12 ,not that the 18 year old ever comes along these days ,it's uncool.but site is mainly a static site hired out to nutcases & I think it should stay that way.not a great touring camp for me.rather drive past it & stay in hunters hamlet,of the beaten track ,away from the buzz of towyn, but you are only 5 mins away in the car, great for a chill out & fully service pitches available.

Thanks for your comments, think we will give it a miss.

We went to look at the caravan site last weekend due to siting our caravan on a seasonal pitch. Well what can I say. The toilet block are going to be renewed in the seasonal area but the rest of the site was a dump. Choose somewhere better if you want to have a good holiday
