Tyre pressure

On our caravan from new we were constantly having to pump up the original tyres even if we had pumped them up the week before. Eventually at the last service in Oct 2023 we were informed that the tyres were cracking on the inside. In March we had them changed to Falken tyres and the pressure has remained constant.

Although the the original tyres were budget tyres fitted by the manufacturer surely they should not have required constant pumping up to the correct pressure of 49psi even from "brand new"? Not sure if air can "leak" out through the tyre itself. Only other cause could have been inferior valves?

Dare I ask did you ever consult your Dealer๐Ÿ˜‰You being the King of CRA2015 &section 75. ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ
You may be correct, defective tyres, or valves or the wheels themselves.

Never even considered asking dealer as difficult to prove however after each service on collection we pumped up the tyres. A bit of a mystery. One of the tyres did have two punctures and even after the repair with new valve, we still had to pump up although not as frequent.

Problem with TPMS you need to move the caravan to see the tyre pressures so just as easy to check them all before setting off. Got into that habit after a blow out on a previous caravan and also bought the TPMS at the time. Hindsight is wonderful. LOL!
