tyre pressures on an octavia tdi

Hi

My diesel cap says 3.3 bar ie 48 psi which seems very high to me. Could anyone please advise what the rear tyre pressure should be on an Octavia TDI when towing. I used to tow a folding camper, so I am new to towing a caravan. Could anyone please help.

Christopher, do you have the 1.9 or 2.0 TDi and what size tyres are fitted to your Skoda?

I have an Octavia 2.0 TDi Sport and always go by the pressures indicated in the iniside of the fuel filler flap. When towing, I use the heavier load pressures. For my car, they are 2.4 bar for the front and 3.0 bar for the back.

When ever someone is unsure about a technical issue such as tyre pressures it is always best to go to the reliable source, which in this case would be your Skoda hand book or dealer.

There is a danger that relying on the information produced in a forum such as this may be wrong, and that would not be considered a justifiable defence if you had to rely upon it in a court.
