Tyre Pressures

I own a 2007 Bailey Series 6 Burgundy. The tyre size is 195/70 R14. The service handbook recommends the tyre pressures to be 42psi/2.9 bar and on the tyre wall recommends 42 psi/2.9bar when cold - ok I'm happy so far. My retailer 'Lowdhams of Huddersfied' however suggests tyre pressure between 48 and 53 psi. Who's right on this issue? At the moment I'm staying with the handbook.

Oh and by the way your mag has written articles on every other Bailey caravan except the Burgundy model, why is this?

Hi Peter, if your Baley handbook says 42psi stick with that, the tyre pressures are based upon the max load of the van.I have a detailed information info in my caravan but not available at the moment, will get it in the morning and relate what to look for on the tyre wall,f you look at one of the tyres, you can read the max pressure per tyre( never ever exceed this)
