Tyres

Lee, in an ideal situation it is best to remove the wheels and store them flat in a cool place out of sunlight, and kept at the correct pressure.

However, as a lot of people have their vans in storage it is not wise to have no wheels on the van in case it has to be moved in an emergency situation, and depending on your insurance conditions, may have to have a wheel clamp fitted at all times.

In this situation you have a couple of alternatives, either pay regular visits and turn the wheels at each visit to avoid the van sitting on one spot for a long time, or, raise the van on axle stands to remove the weight, or get an old set of wheels and tyres and swop them over for the storage period
